Your request has been received and you will be added to our Child Care Services waiting list. If we need additional information we will contact you in the next few days.
Please be sure to check your email within 24-48 hours to complete the registration process.
You must contact us to update your status on our waiting list at least every 60 days. Failure to contact us timely, will result in your name being removed from our waiting list.
Please be sure to contact us if your mailing address or phone number changes.
If you do not already have one, begin looking for a child care provider.
- At enrollment, you will need to provide: the provider’s name, address, phone number and county

While you are waiting for potential enrollment, you can start gathering the following information:
Proof of employment and/or school/training hours and gross (before taxes) income:
- Each adult in the household must be working, attending school or training, or a combination of these. Each adult must average 25 hours each week. Each household must also meet income guidelines.
- Completed Wage Verification Form with 3 months of most current pay stubs (pay stubs must include name of client, rate of pay, date of pay, hourly rate, and gross earnings)
- Self-Employed customers must use the required “Self-Employment Verification Form” with all required back up documentation listed on the form.
- If you are a student or in training, copy of transcript along with current semester schedule that lists days and times OR Verification of College Form completed by school registrar.
Proof of other Income
- Social Security, worker’s compensation, Veteran’s Benefits and Disability must be verified by the most current award letter.
Proof of where you live

The family must live within one of these counties: Anderson, Camp, Cherokee, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Marion, Panola, Rains, Rusk, Smith, Upshur, Van Zandt, or Wood. At enrollment, you will need to provide one of the following:
- Lease agreement or completed Family Size Verification form that shows your current address of where you live.
Additional Resources
Sometimes it may be easier to find help paying for other household expenses, such as rent/utilities. If you have less rent and/or utilities expenses, that could free up some money to pay for child care. Some of the resources available are listed below.

Texas Head Start Association child development programs for Early Head Start (ages 0-3) and Head Start (ages 3-5). Services are available at no cost to qualifying families. Visit http://www.txhsa.org/ or call 2-1-1, to find a program in your area.

Pre-Kindergarten programs are offered in many school districts. Children must be at least three years of age and meet other eligibility criteria. Contact your neighborhood school for additional information or call 512-463-9581or visit link

On-site after-school care is offered in many schools, for children in pre-kindergarten and older. Sometimes these programs offer scholarships or fees based on your household size and income-also known as sliding scale fees. Contact the school your child attends and ask if after-school care is offered.

The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers, and young children (under 5years of age) eat well, learn about nutrition, and stay healthy. For a WIC office near you, call 1-800-942-3678 or visit www.dshs.state.tx.us/wichd

Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Low cost children’s health insurance for children from birth to 18 years of age. To apply visit chipmedicaid.org/ or call 2-1-1.

The Lone Star Card Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Helps people buy the food they need for good health. This program is not tied to the TANF program. It is considered a nutritional program. To apply, call 2-1-1 or visit www.yourtexasbenefits.com
If you are a college student, check with Student Services to see if they have money to help pay for child care while you attend school.
